30 Day Challenge: Day 11
Favorite TV shows. This one would be almost impossible for me to do if they didn't put TV series out on DVD. I don't get any TV reception, the mountain behind our house blocks us from the satellites, and we can't get cable. So, anyway, luckily I can buy my favorite shows on DVD. Those shows include BONES, Veronica Mars, and Gillmore Girls. I really enjoy smart shows that I can laugh at the fourth of fifth time that I watch it. I hate it when you watch a show again and nothing is funny like it was the first time. Well, I guess that's all for today.

30 Day Challenge: Day 10
Something I'm afraid of. This is easy. Anyone who knows me well will be able to tell you that I am terrified of spiders. Unless it drops from the ceiling right in front of my face, or on me, I'm not one of those girls who will go screaming and running out of a room. I have worked with those girls, and even though I am afraid of spiders myself, I have to laugh at them. I will keep my distance from it though. In fact, I have a hard time concentraing on what I'm doing if I know there's a spider in the same room. I couldn't even kill them when I was younger. I still have problems killing the larger ones, which unfortunately I run into a lot considering I live in the mountains. My sister is used to me asking her to take care of the big spiders in the corners of my bathroom. She probably only kills them for me without complaint because she knows I'll get rid of the snakes that the cat brings into the house. Alive. I would post a picture to go along with this post, but even looking at a picture of a spider creeps me out.
I have to say that I think I'm doing pretty well with this challenge so far. I'm a third of the way through it and I haven't missed a single day!

30 Day Challenge: Day 9
A picture of my best friend. This is the hardest post I've had to do so far on this challenge. I don't like to categorize my friends, but looking back at life, I have had a few "best" friends. My first was my brother, Eric. He was my protector. He let his kid sister hang out with him even though I'm 8 years younger and didn't have much in common. Then I started school and met Andrea. We were best friends for years. All through our Elementary, Jr. High, and High school years to be exact. That's a long time to be best friends. After High School we grew apart, as friends do. I still think of her as one of my best friends, but I haven't seen her in a long time. I guess a best friend would be described as the person that you tell anything and everything to. The person who listens to your wild rantings without judging you. The person who holds an unconditional love for you. Looking at my life in this moment, I would have to say that my best friend is my sister, Carma. So, here is the picture that will fulfill my daily blog challenge.

30 Day Challenge: Day 8
A place I've traveled to.
Hawaii. In October of 2008, my parents, Joyce, Carma, and I took a week and a half vacation in Hawaii. I would love to go back some time and do all of the things we didn't get to experience, such as snorkeling. We did get to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center:
Watched the sun rise from the top of a volcano:
Saw some local wildlife:
Watched the waves roll into the beach at the Bonsai Pipeline:
We did many other things, including driving the VERY curvy road to Hana, and taking in a temple session. We had a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to be able to go back.

30 Day Challenge: Day 7
My favorite movies:
I have a lot of favorite movies, because we don't have any TV reception at our house, so we watch a lot of movies. I love romantic comedies like 27 Dresses, How to Loose A Guy in 10 days, Hitch, etc. I'm also a sucker for period romances of the Jane Austin variety. Honestly, I will watch just about anything, and usually like most movies. When I'm sick, my favorite is Anne of Green Gables. When I'm in the mood for some magical entertainment, it's Harry Potter all the way. I also really enjoy watching Disney/Pixar movies. If I have all day and feel like vegging out, I might watch all three of the extended versions of Lord of the Rings one after the other(Yes, I know, I'm a big geek at heart). There are just way too many movies to list, and it really depends on my mood, the time of day, the time of year, etc. when determining what I would consider my favorites.

30 Day Challenge: Day 6
A picture of something that makes me happy.
Tali loves to curl up on my bed with me. What she loves even more is seeing how much of my bed she can take up by stretching out as far as possible. When I'm sick, she cuddles up with me. Tali gets moppey when I'm not around and is protective of my room (it's her space, not the other dog's. They are not alowed in there!). She is constantly making me laugh. She loves to crawl. She'll crawl through the snow for yards at a time, or across a room to reach you. She may be a large dog, but that hasn't stopped her from being a lap dog. She keeps me warm in the winter when she lays on my lap. Oh what a joy dogs are!

30 Day Challenge: Day 5
A song to match my mood. This was a hard one. I had to think about how I feel today. First off, I'm in a little pain from the 3 hour root canal I had yesterday, so that tends to affect my mood. Second, because I was off work yesterday, I have been playing a little game of catch-up which can put me in a stressed mood. Finally, I realized that my mood has basically been the same for the last couple months: hopeful. I think most of you will be able to tell from the song I picked just what I am hoping for.
Haven't Met You Yet
by Michael Buble
I'm not surprised, not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many times, I stopped keeping track
Talk myself in, I talk myself out
I get all worked up, then I let myself down
I tried so very hard not to lose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought, I thought of every possibility
And I know someday that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work, so we can work to work it out
And I promise you, kid, that I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet
I might have to wait, I'll never give up
I guess it's half timing, and the other half's luck
Wherever you are, whenever it's right
You'll come out of nowhere and into my life
And I know that we can be so amazing
And, baby, your love is gonna change me
And now I can see every possibility
And somehow I know that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work, so we can work to work it out
And I promise you, kid, I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet
They say all's fair
In love and war
But I won't need to fight it
We'll get it right and we'll be united
And I know that we can be so amazing
And being in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility
And someday I know it'll all turn out
And I'll work to work it out
Promise you, kid, I'll give more than I get
Than I get, than I get, than I get
Oh, you know it'll all turn out
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid to give so much more than I get
Yeah, I just haven't met you yet
I just haven't met you yet
Oh, promise you, kid
To give so much more than I get
I said love, love, love, love
Love, love, love, love
(I just haven't met you yet)
Love, love, love, love
Love, love
